Gail Maree, of Wading River, died on August 3. She was 70.

She was born on September 30, 1943 to Joseph and Anne (Panto) Donahue.

Beloved wife, dearest friend and lifelong partner of Sandra Fayette, Maree was also the loving daughter, sister and aunt of the Fayette and Mellen families and dear cousin of Domenick LaMacchia, Connie Berger, Joanie (Anthony) Scerbo and Maria (Frank) Simone.

Maree was a respected teacher and scholar, an avid reader, writer, music lover and genealogist.

A private cremation was held. Memorial visitation will be Monday August 18t from 4 to 7 p.m. at Alexander-Tuthill Funeral Home located at 6447 RT 25A, Wading River.

Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Port Jefferson or to an Animal Rescue organization of your choice. To paraphrase Sinatra, Gail did it her way!
