Pat Pandolfi (Cox)

After graduating from LMHS, I worked for Aetna in Garden City and Metropolitan Life in Hicksville. I drove cross-country with friends and then began my college career at Hofstra and received a B.S. in l967.

I taught school in North Babylon for 32 years and received an M.S. from Adelphi in order to be permanently certified as a teacher in New York State. My husband Sam and I met in North Babylon and spent many years involved in Outdoor Education, NYSUT (New York State United Teachers) and numerous political campaigns.

We lived in Babylon Village, Oakdale and West Hills, Huntington before our big move to NH in 2001. Before retiring we had purchased a second home in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We spent most vacations here and enjoyed the beauty of the area and the many outdoor activities available. And so, we decided to be in NH year round.

Our daughter Allison is a junior at The New Hampton School and is involved in many activities. Raising a teenager is keeping me young! She whips me around the tennis court, never wants to ski with me and says I am a slow runner!

I started running at age 31, long before running was in fashion! I have completed the Long Island Half Marathon and have run several ten mile, 5K and 10K races. My most memorable runs have been running across the Golden Gate Bridge and running on the Falls Road in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I am a jazz lover. I love Bird, Dizzy, Prez and Paul Desmond. I am also an avid Yankees fan!!
